At genius-ID you can register for Virtopera.
Only registered users with Genius-ID are able to acquire GeniusIQ points. It is understand that any/all personal data will be handled in strict confidence. By the way, the password needs to have 5 letters long!

After successful registration, you will be shown you ID, but you have to make sure you will know it and not forget. After that, you log in under GeniusID.

Under geniusIQ, you will find the most actively involved users listed.
Here you can call up your GeniusIQ. And by looking at the Hit list, you see a list of names of those users who are most actively involved.

Virtopera needs the genius of the User.

Every user activity is acknowledged and rewarded by attestation of IQ-points. Thereby, the user becomes a GeniUser, and moreover, he becomes a co-creator of Cold Genius and of the Virtopera plot. The quality, effectiveness and influence of user activity is reflected in the varying IQ-points.

- Renga participation: 1 point
- Ted participation: 1 point
- Music contribution: 1 point
- especially valuable contribution: 3 - 5 points
- contributions that were applied: 10 - 25 points
- a contribution that initiates "a decisive turnaround": 50 points

The ten most important GeniUsers (with the highest IQ-point score on the target-date January 10, 2001), are rewarded with a set of great prices.

The Virtopera editor's office in collaboration with Eberhard Schoener are going to decide on whose contribution is going to be applied to Virtopera. (There is no process of law applicable here).

In renga, the User is invited to develop, in conjunction with other Users, an Aria for Virtopera.
The structure of a Virtopera Aria corresponds to a chain poem. GeniUsers are invited to develop such a chain poem for an Aria for the Finale. The first line for an Aria for the Finale is given by Eberhard Schoener. Thereafter, in the Renga-Room, the User has to opportunity to propose lines for the continuation of the poem.
During the Live-Event in Mantua (Italy) on October 8, the first line of the will be presented on the Internet. As the User is invited to suggest additional lines (in English, Italian, German and Portuguese), the rhythm and length of the chain-poem develops and takes shape.
Provided there is ample User participation and Renga contribution, a selection will be made on the decision which line to choose. After the decision is made, the User is invited to submit another line, whereby the "Renga-Aria" is created. During the Finale in Cologne, the "Renga-Aria" will be performed. Each User is limited to one suggestion in one language. Should he present another one, then the previous one will be cancelled.

In music-composition, User suggestions for musical pieces are gathered.

In ted, you can put in your opinion and/or vote on the decision on how to proceed with the Virtopera story/plot.
The Virtopera editor's office will ask questions pertaining to actual decisions to be made, and you get a chance to answer .

In the chat-room, you meet Cold Genius and other GeniUsersr.
The Virtopera Chat is going to open on October 20.

Sometime next week, we will also stage the first Live-Chat with our virtual protagonist Cold Genius.
